What is a Lash Lift?
The lash lift is a lifting technique designed to give you longer looking lashes without the need for lash extensions. It will noticeably enhance and elongate the appearance of your NATURAL lash, which adds definition to your eyes by creating a nice curve and lift. It will look as if you used a really good eyelash curler, but lasts for weeks! It really is an easy way to instantly brighten and open up the eye area.
How long does the lash lift last?
The lash lift can last anywhere between 6-12 weeks depending on your natural lash cycle. This will vary from person to person. Please keep in mind if you are currently using a lash serum or any product that promotes growth, the cycle may be sooner.
Will this make my lashes look fuller?
Lash extensions and lash lifts are 2 completely different procedures. With a lash lift, I will not be adding any additional lashes, simply lifting and curling the natural lashes that you currently have. With that being said, it CAN make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted. However, if you are looking for more volume, lash extensions may be the better option for you.
Can I still wear mascara?
Of course! You will just achieve a more dramatic effect when mascara is applied to your curled lashes. You will absolutely LOVE the look, once applied, as it will look FABULASH and literally can look like you have on lash extensions.
Is there any maintenance?
None at all! However, brushing is very strongly encouraged!
Will this damage my eyelashes?
Not if it has been done correctly by a professional and all directions are followed. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends therefore, never overlapping as long as you wait at least 5 weeks for your next lift.
Are some lashes resistant to the curl?
I have found, on occasion, that it is very difficult to sustain the curl with lashes that have a strong cowlick or slanted growth pattern. Also, the growth patterns due to plastic surgery in the eye are are often not able to be corrected. I say, give the treatment a shot once, and lets see how your lashes hold up.
Is it painful?
No. At first, when I am applying the shields to the eyelids, it may feel a bit uncomfortable. The reason for this is because I am stretching the lashes as much as I can to make them look as long as possible. But, for the most part, it is very relaxing. Just kick back and relax! :)
I use a lash serum. Can I get this treatment?
Definitely! Some of the most dramatic results I've achieved, have been from those using lash serums because their lashes become so long. The only downside using serums in between is being since it makes your lashes grow faster, the lift may grow out quicker. If interested in using a lash serum, I have an excellent product available!
Who is this procedure NOT good for?
Chronic dry eye, conjunctivitis, damaged lashes or lashes with gaps (this treatment may make gaps more noticeable), active eye infections of any kind, recent chemo treatments, and pregnancy in the 1st trimester. When in doubt, always consult with your physician.
